BlackRock's iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) topped roughly $1.05 billion in net assets (BlackRock data as of Sept 11, reported Sept 14), six months after its March 12, 2026 Nasdaq launch. Since launch it has accumulated $830.67M in net inflows, according to SosoValue.
The recent acceleration is the standout: between July 28 and Sept 11, ETHB recorded 20 days of inflows totaling $307.72M with no single day of net outflows — the largest sessions were $42.64M on Aug 28 and $52.91M on Sept 2. As of Sept 11 the fund held 313,789 staked ETH worth $802.9M (74.55% of assets) plus 107,128 unstaked ETH worth $274.1M, with a 30-day staking rewards rate of 1.52%.
For comparison, BlackRock's flagship spot ether fund ETHA holds ~$9.11B in net assets on ~$13B cumulative inflows — staking supplements rather than replaces traditional spot demand. The contrast with bitcoin is sharper: spot BTC ETFs lost $461–463M last week while ether funds drew ~$197M.
Why it matters: ETHB stakes 70–95% of its holdings, so every dollar of inflow buys spot ETH and then locks most of it away from liquid supply. Six months to $1B with zero outflow days says institutions are treating ETH as a yield-bearing allocation, not a trade.
